Jeez... I can't believe that I've had this project going for so damn long... okay I admit I took a break from it for a while. But I guess that it's slowly coming to an end.
As you can see I've added some blood... I might still add more and tone down some areas. I'll see.....
I'm also taking a slight break from texturing for a while so I can take a fresh look at the blood at a later stage. Besides I felt like doing something other than texturing, so I started rigging and skinning her this past week. At the moment it's still really rough and needs cleaning and fine tuning. I also need to tweak the hair bones so that the springs aren't so stiff. There's also still some clipping with the hair and body.
At least I won't need to put her into any extreme poses so it should be quite quick to do.
I did a quick test with a very basic idle pose and some morph targets. This isn't going to be her final pose/animation or anything it was just intended as a test. I'll put her into something a bit more interesting (I'm doing a bit of research into finding a more interesting pose). I'm no animator so I plan on keeping it real simple...
I've also optimised her, which again I might still tweak.
Anyway you can download a Quicktime file of the idle pose animation, by right clicking and saving target as (the file is just under 2mb in size).
Some wires: after looking at this image, I realised that there are still a few areas that can be optimsed. I might still join the the four smaller toes into one large clump so that they are not separate digits.

I knocked out some quick concepts for some base/diorama ideas. Each took anywhere from 10-50 minutes to complete. They are extremely rough as they are only intended to give me an idea of what would work best. Once I have decided on which one to use it'll be totally remade. I'll also refine the idea a lot more.
I've put them in order of which I like most (though I kinda like all of them). All I need to do is choose one now...

1. Paving and wall:
This would be a piece of pavement (with either large or small tiled bricks/cement slabs) and a small wall with rusted old fence bars.
2. Tiled floor:
I like the simplicity of this one. Nothing to really distract from the figure. This could either be a tiled bathroom floor, or part of a pavement. I'd probably have broken pieces of tile layered on top.
3. Old wooden floor:
This is pretty much and old wooden decaying floor. I like the idea and subtle hints of depth to this one. The only problem is that it's a bit unbalanced in scale at the moment and would most likely need to be made more square.
4. Forest tree (small):
This was based on my original idea of her being in a forest. I like the possibilities of this one, though I do find that the tree take away from the figure a bit.
This is basically a scaled down version of the image below this one.
4. Forest tree (large):
I find this too over-powering, so I did a scaled down version (4. Forest tree (small) ). It also seems to convey a bit too much of a fantasy feeling- reminds me of some great magical tree in a forest, say from Warcraft or something.

I started working on the pose a bit over a week ago. I might still try out a few other ideas. I'd also possibly like to try something a bit more sexy as well
There's not too much left for me to do to her- just some small tweaks to the mesh and some fix ups and she should be done. I'm planning on starting the base real soon- I've just been having trouble deciding on which one to go with. At the moment it's the wooden floor with a few adjustments.
I'm also a bit unsure as whether to animate her or not in this pose. If I do it'll be something subtle similar to my previous idle pose test.
I've rendered out a turn-around of her (for some reason the video is a bit glitchy)- you can download the Quicktime file by right clicking and saving target as (the file is just over 5mb in size).
